Outdoor Spaces

Written by Elizabeth Goldwait

Summer is here and we could not be happier about it! Nothing brings me more joy than spending the long summer nights on my terrace, reminiscent of my childhood holidays and family gatherings. My patio has become an oasis, a space to take a breath, a contrast from the bustling city that we live in. I wouldn’t say there is a formula to an outdoor space, but I do think that there are essentials that work to complete the area along with mixing and balancing materials.

Outdoor Spaces
  1. Indigo Herringbone Outdoor Rug: Dash & Albert has mastered the outdoor rug game. So many different hues and patterns to choose from. I chose Indigo as it is bright but also neutral, a great anchor for the space.

  2. Vintage Outdoor Bulbs: What's a terrace without string lights! There's nothing better than dining under draped lights & stars. They are also a great way to add height to the space.

  3. Cushioned Teak Chair: Two chairs for me and my beau to spend countless hours watching the world go by.

  4. Cedar Stump: My other half actually made our stump from an old tree that fell down in the garden. I love the natural material and shape that it brings to our space.

  5. Cityscape Planters: For me, a terrace is not complete without some greenery. We have planter boxes filled with basil, coriander & mint for our favorite summer dinners & cocktails.
